Moot Court
The term Moot Clkourt basically implies a replica of a legal court, by making pre-trial preparations and letting them have an experience on trial proceedings. Moot court as per BCI rules under part I, provides to consist of 30 marks.
Every student will be made to participate in at least 3 Moot courts on (in) a year with 10 marks, for each assigned problem and it will be evaluated for 5 marks for written submission and 5 marks for oral advocacy. It is also popularly known as Mock Court. Herein students themselves act like Advocates, presenting their arguments and evidences etc.
Mooting allows the students to practice the art of advocacy and the College lays great emphasis on it as it equips the students for their future profession. To be a successful Mooter one should be articulate, well acquainted with Laws, be a cogent speaker with confidence.
