Code of Conduct
- General Conduct: Every student must maintain high standards of peace, tranquillity, ideal conduct, cleanliness, and discipline both in the classroom and on the College campus. Shouting, screaming, or misbehaviour with fellow students is prohibited.
- Discipline and Substance Policy: Students must maintain strict discipline on and off campus. The College is a “tobacco-free” zone; the consumption of tobacco, drugs, or alcoholic substances is prohibited. Violations result in the following penalties:
- First Violation: Fine of ₹500.
- Second Violation: Fine of ₹2,000.
- Third Violation: Immediate suspension from the College.
- Ragging: Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and carries severe disciplinary actions, including cancellation of admission or expulsion.
- Behavior: Obscene or indecent behavior will result in strict disciplinary action, including expulsion.
- Harassment: Sexual harassment or any practice derogatory to human dignity and privacy is strictly prohibited. Individuals involved will be referred to the College’s committee on sexual harassment for immediate and strong action.
- Library Rules: Students must strictly adhere to the rules framed for the library. Non-compliance will result in strong disciplinary action.
- Governing Regulations: Students are governed by the existing Rules, Ordinances, and Regulations of Gauhati University, B.C.I., and the College, including any future amendments.
- Knowledge of Regulations: These disciplinary regulations are deemed to be known by all students of the College.
